Spring is coming

This is the lovely bouquet of tulips and iris that my son, Andrew gave to me for my birthday.  I love spring flowers. The colors of Spring are vibrant after the dullness of Winter.

Look the first robin of the season. Soon it will be my favorite time of the year.

Happy sewing
Mary

We saw a whole flock of robins flying about yesterday in our neighbor's yard. We usually only see a few at a time, but there was a whole herd of them there. The one other time I have seen lots (and I mean dozens and dozens) of robins in one place was during the Christmas snow storm a few years ago. I think the weather confused them and they figured there was safety in numbers or something. It was 89F today here in Fort Worth, which seems like a mistake; I think it must be a record. Tonight it is supposed to get down to 34, then tomorrow has a high in the 50's. Weird.

Happy belated birthday. Enjoy your first robin, winter can't hang on forever.
