Halloween cross stitch envelope swap

Today I get to show you what I received in the mail  from Maria.
I have linked to her blog, Dotty's Daughter.  She posted on October 6, about all the things she had sent.
Looks like she received her embroidered envelope as well.
Ingrid of Miistitch, is a lovely coordinator.

Hocus Pocus
Maria did lovely work putting this all together.

There is a cute little pocket on the back of the envelope.

All items were wrapped and had little messages with them.
Shes made all these fun treats.

Love the scissor fob. The skeleton is so cute.
Did you notice the witch on the pocket?

Check out all the candy!
She sent neat treats!!
Even my son was checking these out.

More charms and a spool of ribbon, black with white polka dots.

Everything was individually wrapped.  Love the tape she used.

And more goodies.  Buttons and more ribbon.
They are so cute.

And one more present!  This time a pincushion.

I am so pleased, and love everything.  She was so generous. It was fun to open all these goodies.
When the package arrived, I sat right down and started opening it.
I kept taking pictures as I opened each part of it so I could share with you.
Thank you again Maria.  It was so sweet of you.
Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween Envelope Swap

Today, Ingrid of Miistitch, posted what I sent to her as part of the Halloween Mail Art Swap..
I had so much fun working on this swap.  Ingrid is a great leader, and I had the pleasure of having
her name to stitch for.
I was so excited when she announced this swap, that I was had been looking for cute designs, even
before I knew who I would be stitching for.

This is the back of what my envelope looks like.
I am still feeling my way around this whole concept.
I have to say I am loving it.  I hope Ingrid will do this again.
I also made the cover for a small notebook.
I enjoy working on small designs, as they go faster, and are so cute.
I love flowers, so this is a great choice.
This design is "Nature au point de croix".
Here they are.  I am pleased they turned out.  Today Ingrid has written that she is pleased.
All of the swapper's are to have theirs in the mail by October 1 so that we can have them in time for Halloween.

Have a great day!  I am off to do more stitching.

Embroidered Envelope Exchange

Back in April I read a post that intrigued me at  Mii Stitch.
It was all about a Mail Art Exchange that involved making an envelope with embroidery on it.
I have done pincushion, mini quilt exchanges, but never any thing involving my cross stitching.
I was game, so I signed up.
The one requirement was it needs to be to our partner by the 1st of July.
I received word that she has received it.
This is the envelope I created for Lilli.
I have been enamored with cross stitching by Veronique Enginger, a french cross stitch publisher.
I chose 2 charts to use and designed my project.

I added a crocheted flower to the front.

Then I decided to make a cover for a small notebook.
This is another small Veronique Enginger design as well.
I was liking the lavender colors for Spring.
I had some lace that I could weave the ribbon through to create ties to keep it closed.
The back of the envelope is simple.
Included some buttons, ribbons and made a card to send along.
I am so glad this turned out so well.
I had a lot of fun making everything, and glad to hear that she likes it.

Looks like there could be another Mail Air Exchange in my future.
Mii Stitch is going to have another one.  The knew ones theme will be Halloween.
Do you think I can get flowers in that one too??

How you have a great rest of your week.
