More quilts done!

When we drove to and from Buffalo I was able to get a lot of binding stitched.
I took a total of 7 quilts with me, and was able to get 6 of them done.
This first one is a  jelly roll of Hawaiian fabric that I picked up on our trip to Maui in January.
I had see a quilt made using this pattern.
Even the white that surrounds it is Hawaiian.

Turned out pretty good.

This is another quilt that was bound on this trip.
The top was finished last fall at the retreat in Racine, Wisconsin.
It needed a border, and finally got quilted this summer.
Originally the quilt was started at a workshop with Sharyn Craig, through Prairie Star Quilt Guild. several years ago.

Here is a close up of the quilting.  It turned out beautiful.

Another one done!  This was two kits of fabric. I really liked it.
I picked the kits up in Atlanta, from Little Quilts, two different times.
I guess you can say I loved it.

I have kept busy this summer.
This butterfly quilt I made this summer, and had it quilted.  One of the fastest I have done.
I like how it turned out as well.

As you can tell I do enjoy my traveling. but do stay home now and then.
While home I do use my time for sewing and cross stitching.
More quilts are being made.
I love sewing, can you tell?

I hope you are have a great summer.  I sure have.
You can feel that fall is on the edge.
Have a great weekend.

Garden Update

My little garden is beginning to explode with color.
Larkspur

Clemantis

Clemantis, We have a huge one on the front of our house.

I guess I like purple flowers!

This is our second nesting Robin.  This time there were 2 babies.
I don't know if it is the same mother or a different one.

My latest quilt.
This is one that was probably started back in 2003.  It was supposed to have a lot more block.
I decided it was time to have it done, so just took all the butterflies that were done, and put it together.
I am very pleased with how it looks.
It is at the quilter right now. I can't wait to see it.

The last of my peonies.

I am afraid they don't look like this any more.
They are all going to seed.
They don't last very long, if a storm or heat get to them.

I love them.
I have some embroidery to show soon.
I have been keeping busy.
It has been a beautiful spring.  I have been trying to get outside as much as possible.
I hope you are enjoyed your spring
