My little garden is beginning to explode with color. Larkspur
Clemantis
Clemantis, We have a huge one on the front of our house.
I guess I like purple flowers!
This is our second nesting Robin. This time there were 2 babies. I don't know if it is the same mother or a different one.
The last of my peonies.
I am afraid they don't look like this any more. They are all going to seed. They don't last very long, if a storm or heat get to them.
I love them. I have some embroidery to show soon. I have been keeping busy. It has been a beautiful spring. I have been trying to get outside as much as possible. I hope you are enjoyed your spring Mary

such lovely photos..and yes you love purple and those white peonies..mine will be finished this week...sad too...as they are so beautiful...x
They are all so pretty - such wonderful color at this time of the year.
Such gorgeous flowers! Thank you for sharing, especially the clematis. I have tried several times to get clematis to grow in Fort Worth, with absolutely zero luck. They just do not like the protracted, extreme heat we often see in the summertime. My Grandma had the most beautiful clematis the same color as yours, growing against their garage wall in Mosinee, WI. It had hundreds and hundreds of blooms all summer long. I suppose it is too much to expect that a flower that thrives in zone 3 could do as well in zone 7-8. Your peonies are lovely too; I have not tried those here, but I know other people have had success with them. You have a very green thumb, just like my Grandma; I did not inherit that from her!
Take care,

What beautiful flowers! And even some baby birdies! Isn't Spring wonderful?? Oh, and I love your butterflies, too! Another beautiful addition to spring.
Thank you for the armchair garden tour of all your pretty blossoms with that bright green foliage. The butterfly quilt top looks just right; not too much, not too little. It has a very pleasing balance and lots of eye movement, too. How wonderful to get it finished up!!
Nice quilt. Hope to see it up close at guild in July.
your garden is looking very colourful how lucky to have a robin nesting and that you can see into the nest too, and the butterfly quilt is breautiful
