Back in April I read a post that intrigued me at Mii Stitch.
It was all about a Mail Art Exchange that involved making an envelope with embroidery on it.
I have done pincushion, mini quilt exchanges, but never any thing involving my cross stitching.
I was game, so I signed up.
The one requirement was it needs to be to our partner by the 1st of July.
I received word that she has received it.
This is the envelope I created for Lilli.
I have been enamored with cross stitching by Veronique Enginger, a french cross stitch publisher.
I chose 2 charts to use and designed my project.
| I added a crocheted flower to the front. |
| The back of the envelope is simple. Included some buttons, ribbons and made a card to send along. |

Dear Mary! Nice idea!!! So cute stitching! And I like this design with kitten and flowers. Very nice!
What a sweet little envelope and journal cover you made for your partner!
I host a weekly Stitchery Link Party for all things hand embroidered including cross stitch and I'd love to have you come link up so my readers can it too. http://www.supermomnocape.com/2015/06/22/vintage-embroidery-monday-stitchery-link-party-11/
I do hope you'll come join the fun.

and I am receipt of lovely cards....all cherished indeed....
This envelope and journal cover are truly beautiful and very special with your embroidery stitching embellishing them. I adore the colors you have used and the ribbon woven lace trim. June JOY...
this I know will be treasured
Beautifully stitched. This is such a cool project. I haven't cross stitched in decades. I recently came back to embroidery so cross stitch is probably in my future.
xx, Carol

A great exchange that you took part in. And a wonderful envelope that you created for Lillie.
