Have A Latte

Today is the start of "Have A Latte" hop.
I got a chance to work with these fun fabrics by Clothworks.
It is all about the caffeine, and I do love my high octane coffee.
Joan from Moose Stash Quilting, has been our fabulous cheerleader.
With the help of Madame Samm of Sew We Quilt we were able to locate this great fabric.
The colors are so rich and easy on the eye, or I should say cup.
The pattern I chose to make this table topper is called Steam Punk, by Jen Kingwell.
It was a beautiful warm day to sit at a table outside, and enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a good book.
I went to the Fabyan Forest Preserve outside Geneva to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having.
Yes, that is a windmill in the background.  It was operating earlier today.  I love watching it and relaxing in this beautiful park along the Fox River.

I had some company today while I was relaxing.
This Great-horned Owl and one of her three chicks were showing off. A lot of birders were using scopes and photographing her and her offspring.  Dad was said to be in a tree a little farther up the river.

Love the colors of Spring. This is the blue scilla that we see in a lot of lawns in our area.
Mr. Chipmunk came by to say hello.
The red squirrel stayed for quite a while in the area where I was sitting.
It is so great to see the birds and animals back for another Spring.

I hope you have enjoyed by relaxing day in the park.
After another cold winter, it feels good to be out in the warmth again.

Grab a cup of coffee, and take time to visit these other great quilters, as they present their creations for "Have A Latte" blog hop.

Have a wonderful week.
