Saturday, Atlanta Shop Hop

Saturday, we started out a bit earlier, as we had a lot more ground to cover. First up was Stitch'n Quilt. Their theme , "Back to the Basics". Here is their log cabin quilt.

This lady was demoing a ruler, square in a square.

Here is the quilt that Sandy is going to work on next.

We picked up these cute, paper pieced, patterns and kits.
On to Quilts and Fixins in Jonesboro.

They were making up small scenes. This was the pirate, tropical area.

Their quilt was a spool theme.
Another barn quilt on the front of their store.

Here is the quilt at Sweet Home Quilt Co in  Conyers.  Love the bright colors that all the quilts used this time.

Check out the bathroom.  Love the little potty pots.

Naturally there were all out of these fabrics. Darn!  They were so cute.

I want to do this!  Tumblers are so cute. Did get the kit.

Looking into the shop.  So many things to see, so little time!
Intown Quilters is "Modern Meets Traditional."  There have a lot of Batiks and Kaffe fabric.

Here was one of their projects. Again bright colors, paired with Kaffe.

Intown's quilt.  They used Kaffe fabric in the log cabin  version they made.

Their shop is in Decatur, Georgia.
A Scarlet Thread, in McDonough had the them of "A solid Foundation".  Check out the Amy Bradley patterns.  I did get one for my workshop with her next week.

They are so big that they even advertise on the highway.
Here is their quilt.

Sandy in front of the solid fabrics they used in their quilt.
Patrick's in Covington, had the theme of "Stars & Scraps Forever".

Saturday we were all over the map.  It was a great day weather wise.  It got up to 80 degrees. I was loving it.  So many ideas.  We did start working on a project when that evening.  We had each purchased the pattern for the iron caddy.  Sandy got the one for the standard size iron, and I got the one for the travel iron.  We had purchased the shop hop fabric, which if you click on the picture above you can see.  It is a sewing theme.  If you purchased $30.00 at any of the shops you received a set of 10 bright colored strips to use.  Needless to say we did purchase at least $30.00 at several shops. If one of us could not get to the full $30. we combined our purchases.

Well that is it for the shop hop.  I will show you tomorrow some of the things Sandy and her Mom and I did on Sunday.
Have a good day.
Mary
