More Retreat!

Donna got all these Log Cabin blocks together.

Karin C is working on a neat basket quilt.

Pat was asking for advice on borders for her "Easy Street", a Bonnie Hunter mystery.

Pat's "Easy Street" is done with Jo Morton  fabrics.  It is  so nice.  It is fun to see the mystery quilts done in other color combinations.

Susan was working on a Kansas Troubles pattern.

Check out this heart.  The pattern was designed for a shop hop last year, and is made with 3/4 inch strips!  Lisa, did a perfect job of making it! It is absolutely adorable.

Gayle, has been working on this and another tumbler quilt, on and off, for about 5 years. Looks like this one is going to be put together!
She was numbering the rows.

It you look close, some of that post it note made it into the seam!
Julie has her sewing area set and ready to go.

Karin and Pat hard at work.

Pat and Jan working along.

What is nice about being here is, cell phones don't work very well if at all.  No interruptions, our food is provided and you can come and go if you like.  No pressures. Meals are at 8:30, 12:30, and 5:30.  We always bring plenty of snacks to much on. There is coffee, water and pop for drinking.  We all bring our own bedding, which is fun because everyone brings quilts they have made! The grounds are beautiful for taking a walk. (Not so much this time, as it was snowy and cold on Thursday.  By Sunday when it was time to go home, it was warm, muddy, and sloppy. It had rained all Saturday night.  This is such a wonderful time to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

More tomorrow.

Great pictures. This is the kind of retreat I go to also and I love it. No cell phones and you don't cook. You come and go as you please and there is a quilt shop within 20 minutes drive. Can't ask for more except more money to spend! Looks like you had a wonderful time.
