My friend Jo's quilts

At one of our Thursday Sews, Jo brought in 2 finished projects to show us.  This top picture is  a close  up of a wool piece she has done. Over a year ago there was a wool class taught at our local shop, "Wool Crazy".  Rather then do motifs of the seasons, she did hers in pictures from her stay in Africa.

Here is a Sue Daley design.  Sue is a designer from Australia.  Jo, stitched and appliqued all the blocks using fabric from her stash.  It turned out beautiful.

Here is the whole wool crazy quilt.  Click on the picture for a closer look.

As you can tell the ladies that come to sew love to share their completed projects.

Have a great day of sewing.
Mary

Wow, Mary! I haven't been blogging for awhile and I missed all of your last posts. I've been having a terrific time catching up on what you have been doing. You are so lucky to get to see Jinny Beyer in person; I have loved her work for ages. That 9/11 quilt is spectacular. And the cruise sounds fabulous. I love the dimensional squares, and your little hexagon finish is simply gorgeous and the tour to the place where the ladies gather to do needlework 5 hours per day - awesome! I'm so glad you had a wonderful time and took the time to share so much of it with us. Thanks so much!

BTW How much snow did you come back to? It's sure been a snowy year up north.

Take care,
