Pincushion Blog Hop, My Day!!!

Today is my day for the showing my projects for the Pincushion Blog Hop.  I am so excited. Thank you Madame Samm and Kristen King, for creating and cheering us on.
Here are two of my projects.  The first is my embroidered project keeper and my little sheep pincushion.

I made this project keeper so I would have a place to keep my small embroidery projects.  Madame Samm designed the sweet bird for hosting my first blog hop, "It's for the Birds."  This is a great way to keep organized.

I love 30's fabrics and made these two patchwork pincushions.  The one is tiny log cabins, and the other is just like the tomato's we always had.

This last one is my version of a flamingo pincushion.  I love flamingo's!

Here are some of the wool pincushions I have made.  I love these small projects.  They are so portable.

Here are a few more that I have collected through the years.  I have found that when I travel, it is sometimes much easier to bring a new pincushion home,

 September 11

This has been a great hop.  The pincushions that have been shown so far are fun and whimsical.  Don't forget to cheer our other creators on.

I can see that you love pincushions and many are just the 'sitting pretty' kind with no heavy work load. Your handwork case is fab. I do love 30s fabrics, too, so I'm esp. fond of those 2 pincushions.

You have quite the collection of cushions! I remember that graphic Mdm Samm made for you from the hop and look how cute your piece looks. My favorite if forced to pick one would probably be the 30's fabric tomato. LOL, which one is YOUR favorite?

Mary, What a great idea to turn you embroidery into a project keeper. You are much more organized than I am. It is so neat and tidy. Maybe that's one reason my work has no many cat hairs on it - lol. I also have two cats and, of course, it is still shedding season. I think indoor cats shed all the time. I love your 30's pin cushions. They are adorable. You have made some lovely pin cushions. I still have to make my first and think it's going to be very soon. I'm away from home helping my daughter with her sons while her FIL is recuperating from surgery (he is usually the sitter). I think it wouldn't be long after I get home. I'm starting to get the bug to collect pin cushions. I usually use a box - even just a sandwich box to toss pins into instead of a pin cushion. I don't why I do that, my mother always used a pin cushion and I have two - just something I probably picked up when I ran out of room or couldn't find one easily. Thanks for participating and being a good inspiration not only for making pin cushions but also for organization and possibly collecting. I can hardly wait to see you again soon in another hop.
