Here is what a 1964 graduate looked like! Yes, this is me. I graduated in 1964 from Flushing High School, Flushing, Michigan. I definitely was not the hippie type. Now that I look at the list that Madame Samm led us to, I do remember some of these things. American Bandstand, white gloves, I did have a pair of clunky dress shoes, and at least one mini skirt. I don't know if I can find any pictures of that! Do remember the Beatles and the twist and who doesn't remember the Mickey Mouse Club, can still sing the song! Did you have troll or Barbie dolls? Oh, what a time.
Here is our line up of "groovy" "chicks" who are going to show us what we missed!

All set Mary.....going to be very interesting for sure.
I think you look fabulous..love the glasses...ohhhh I am really looking forward to this hop...and we do have some very interesting characters who will be part of it..and someone will be winning that new light...
I can't wait! I've been cutting and sewing! :) I was born at the end of the 60's, but I love Doris Day and Rock Hudson movies from the 60's! Nothing better! :)
I am of the same era as you and yes how we loved to twist, certainly could not do it now though. The rolling stones I preferred to the beatles but Gene Pitney was my real love of the 60`s. Now it is Chris de Burgh who I could listen to all day and night.Saw him a couple of years ago at the Royal Albert Hall and was within touching distance, he hugged my daughter but not me, can`t say I blame him though.
Love following hops but it leads to more blogs to follow and that means less time for stitching.
Hi Mary,

my day is the 27.
Liebe Grüße
Bente
My sister graduated your year. Her HS pic is just like yours. I remember watching her go to the prom. Satin dress, white gloves. Those were the days. I wish they were back.
