Superman, "Man of Steel"

Friday, was the opening for the much awaited movie "Man of Steel".   Those of us in the Plano, Yorkville, Oswego, are have been waiting patiently for two years for this movie to come out.  Andrew (my son) and I have been counting he days.  A lot of the scenes in the movie were filmed in and around Plano, and down Chicago.  The scene with the school bus, Andrew and I watched being filmed.  We live not far from the gravel pit it was stated at.

Friday night Ron and I had tickets to see the movie at the Hollywood Palms.  It is a local theater that serves food and drinks while you enjoy the film.  Dean Richard (pictured above) had announced on WGN new a week ago, that there was going to be a special showing for charity.  Our donation of $20.00 each was going to the Red Cross to help the victims of the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma.  I signed us up right away.  Now I had an assured spot to see the movie!
That is me, talking to Dean Richards.  As you can see, I have my Superman t-shirt on!

Dean Richard, and  me with Superman!  Dean is Chicago's, very own movie critic on WGN-TV.   I was so excited.

He stopped to talk to persons near us in the theatre.

Check it out!  I got Dean's autograph.  Okay it is not Henry Cavill's but I will take it.

The movie was SUPER!  We had a great time.  Andrew was glad he wasn't with us,  he was afraid I would comment, every time I saw something that looked familiar!  I was quiet, but I did.
Dean was able to present the Red Cross with a check for $3000. that evening.

Have a SUPER week
Mary
