Second Annual Quilt Fest in Oswego

Saturday, June 1, Prairie Stitches, held its second annual quilt fest.   In conjunction with the Village of Oswego, the quilt shop planned this wonderful show.  It was to be held on Main Street, in downtown Oswego, but due to possible rain, it was moved to the Village Hall.  It was fabulous.

Local quilters where asked  to display their quilts for the day.

Just look at the variety of quilts.

Where were wall hangings, baby, and bed size quilts.

There are several quilt guilds in the area,  and they added to the mix as well. A Bonnie Hunter design.

Donna, Jan and Kimberly added these three.

Ginnie made this wonderful star quilt.  This is her beside it. The background fabric is perfect with the stars.

The Village Hall has two levels and quilts were displayed in every nook and cranny.

Check out the applique on this one!

Another view from upstairs.

The note on this quilt is that it was a 20 block mini that just grew and grew!

Love the antique quilt.

How about this New York Beauty.

Dear Jane in a with a dark background and hand dyed fabric.

Another great antique quilt.

Another Bonnie Hunter design.

My friend Danette finished this beautiful quilt in honor of  her Mother.  It is spectacular.

Looks like monkey wrench and churn dash blocks are coming back in vogue. There were several raffle quilts and even a vendor or two were on hand.  It was so much fun seeing friends and fellow quilters.  A great time was had by all.

Have a happy quilting day.

Mary

Looks like a great show. Loved seeing all the pictures. I especially liked the NYBeauty. I would love to make one like that. Do you know who made it? Thanks for sharing.
