My Blue Heaven is finally done and on the bed! When we bought this house 5 years ago, we painted the wall behind the bed a right royal blue. The idea was to make a quilt for our bed to go with it. I had a vision of what i wanted, and cut lots and lots of triangle. I originally was going to add purple, but some how it just did not work. The triangle sat in a box until last year when I finally decided it had to be made. I am so pleased with how it turned out. It has a long drape on the sides and top and bottom. It is always so nice to sleep under a new quilt. |

Oh Mary, your quilt turned out just beautifully! Doesn't it feel good to finish something and be able to use it?
Love the penny pictures too! My sister is a teacher and she started collecting pennies at her school for a fundraiser. After reaching about half of their goal, they had to move the penny containers to the basement because the structural engineer said the flooring couldn't hold all the weight! Yikes!
Have a great summer!
