Shipshewana

Got the opportunity to go to Shipshewana.  It is an annual event with the Mainliner Club of United Airlines.   This has been an annual event for the last 12 years at least.  It is an all day bus trip.  We leave by 7:00 am  and return about 9:30 pm.  We are on our own to explore the town or the flea market until 3:45 pm. Then off to the Das Dutchman for a delicious chicken dinner and a little shopping in their shops before heading home.

A couple of barn quilts on the side of Yoder's.  This is a store that sells just about everything.  Fabric  to hardware to clothes and shoes.Love that place.

I usually shop in Yoder's first and see what fabric they have that I can't live without. Then walk into town and shop at a couple of stores.  I like to eat my peanut butter and jelly sandwich on the run.  I'm saving myself for that chicken dinner.

At the flea market you can get homemade ice cream.  It was a hot day this year, and the line was long.  I did buy some fresh  Michigan strawberries and a few tomatoes to take home.
I found a bottle tree I could not live without.  Since we were on a bus, it was not a problem bringing it home.

There are a lot of places to stop and shop.

Another barn quilt. It was a fun day.

Have a great day yourself.   Mary
