Part 2 International Quilt Festival

On Friday I went back to the quilt festival.  Had to make a second found to check on the quilts and see if  there was anything I "needed" from the vendors.
Lunch was at Carlucci's down the street. Check out this "salad"!

I had lasagna.  It was so good.  We had 8 for lunch today.  It was good to see everyone.  It  was the quilt bee  ladies I had lunch with today.

Here is Ms MacDonald Had a Farm, by Lynn Czaban and the Members of the  Hanging By a Thread group. This was so interesting.  Finding just the right pieces of fabric in your stash to use in the applique.

Then I got to meet up with my friends from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan
Myself, Sandy, Lois, Pat and Bonnie.  We are going to be up there in August for a week of sewing and fun with friends I love it when we can be together..

Berne House Quilt, from Berne Switzerland.  Quilt guild members each made a house block. They were then all sewn together to make this beautiful quilt.

I just had to show this quilt.  It is another small one names Lux Aurumque. It is made by Jacquie Harvey of the United Kingdom.

You need to see this as it is hand quilted.  It is wonderful.   I really could not get over the amazing quilting that is being done.
One more Moo quilt.  "And the Cow says Boo" by Peggy Baldwin-Clayton by Galveston, Texas.

The quilt show continued through Saturday and Sunday.  You walk away in awe.  Between the show of quilts and the vendors you walk away excited to start a new adventure.

Saturday, I cleaned up my sewing space and did some embroidery.  I had picked up more paper pieces for making my hexagon flowers.  Bought some leaf shapes with the thought of another project.  It is not like I need any more projects.
The embroidery I did Saturday was three small kits I had, that needed to be worked on. Now to do the finishing of them.

Have a great day, Mary
