Said I would be back....

This is the cutest and quickest scissor case to make.
That little plant stick, is actually the instructions.
I brought the kit at a quilt show, sorry do not remember when or where, but it is from Quilted Memories, Inc. from Montague, Michigan.  It is called "Little Keeper". The instructions do not have the size of the original squares. I think it started out with 8 inch squares.

On a shop hop in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan I received this kit with instructions for a key fob.
The hardware and a piece of bias tape was supplied along with the instructions.
Getting the fabric centered was the hardest part.  Mine is a tad off, but in all I thought it turned out cute.

This box zipper purses are from the book Packwork Please, by Ayumi Takasashi. I was sort of following the pattern.  I had all the half square triangles already made and they were just sitting around in two piles, getting pushed from side to side for quite a long while (okay a couple of years.)
I decided it was time to use them up.  I think these too, turned out pretty good.
You just never have too many zipper pouches.
This cute little pouch I absolutely love.  It is 10 inches tall, and 10 inches wide and has a 4 x 6 inch base.  It is made with a variety of 2 inch squares.  I saw this on  quarterinchmark.  Chase Wu has an Etsy shop and she made up the kits and patterns, limited edition, for the kin-cha-ku sewing kit.  I could not resist and ordered this kit.  It is hand quilted. I used the big stitch method with pearl cotton as my quilting thread. It is fully lined, and she gives you detailed instructions. I made it as soon as I received it.

On Monday I am going on a quilt retreat until Thursday.  One of the things I will be working on is "What is my Super Power" for our next blog hop.  Got any ideas of what it might be???

I have been enjoying working on these small projects.  The two Michigan quilts are being quilted, so I will have them back soon to bind.
Daffodils are out of the ground about 6 inches. They are farther along then the crocus.
All sorts of birds are visiting my feeders, and some days are actually warm!
I have even cleaned out a couple of cupboards, and going through things in my sewing room and organizing some of it.  It feels good to be busy.
Have a great week, I will show what we were up to on the retreat.
