It's cold outside time to fly south

I took a little drive along the Fox River yesterday before I came home from Thursday Sew. In some of the areas were there is open water, the "steam" was coming off the water.

Only three of us came to sew on Thursday.  The room was toasty.  During the last cold snap the heat had been turned off and the pipes froze.  When we got warmer weather the pipes burst.  The flooring has been pulled up and not water or toilet.  Not a good thing.   Hopefully the repairs will be done soon.
We are in another really cold and windy few days.  Is it Spring yet??

Pride of the Prairie Quilt Guild is getting ready for a snow the beginning of February. My time has been spent finishing up a quilt for the show.  Time to send it out for quilting while I am gone.

Yep, I am going again. Sunday my friend Jan (from Thursday Sew) and I are flying to Ft Lauderdale. On  Monday we set sail for 11 days of quilting.
We are traveling with Paula Nadelstern, Sue Nichols, Mary Sorensen and Gyleen Fitgerald as our teachers.  Quilt Seminars at Sea has again set up a fun and informative cruise.  Jan and I are each taking different classes.  All quilting classes are conducted on the days we are at sea.  '
Sewing and Sun, what more could you as for.

Since the email from the shop didn't mention a sew-in until Feb 6th, we thought the classroom was still under repair. Have fun on your cruise with Jan.

Great pictures! You probably need to go near the equator to get some warmth....or Australia! It's snowing and sleeting in South Louisiana and along the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, it's freezing in central Texas and temps here in Georgia tonight are expected to be around 13...Brrr. Have a great weekend!

This winter really has been a wicked one. You'll be thawing out while Illinois goes into a deep freeze once again. Have a blast on your trip!
