I did get a few things done in 2013

Well, it seems to have been a productive year for me too.
Several quilters have been posting what they were able to get done in 2013.

As I have gone through my photos, there were more accomplishments then I thought.

I did participate in several blog hops. They are a lot of fun, and stretch your creativity.  I have learned a lot about creating better photos.
I worked on two other blogs that I have started. In addition to sewing, I have been bird watching on a more regular basis.

I have taken several thousand photo's and deleted probably as many.
I have traveled, went on a cruise.  We explored more of the countryside.
Been to Buffalo, New York, Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Drove through Canada and visited Niagara Falls.
We checked out a couple of barn quilt trails.
I did a lot more walking, which is a good thing.
Took a couple of classes.  There is always new things to learn.  Tried out a few new patterns.

Finished several quilts. A couple I haven't been able to photograph yet. Sometimes I am slow on the binding.

Finally, did up some of those kits that have been accumulating. Learned that I don't always have to make more of the same thing.  I theory has been if one is good, three is better.

Finished a quilt that had been in pieces in a box for 5 years.  Finished another Bonnie Hunter quilt.

Learned how to put metals handles on change purses, and the popular Tammy Bag. Again, if one is good, three is better!

I embroidered a few things, and framed Dresden blocks that I had made out of antique fabric.

I made and donated 35 pillow cases to tornado victims in Illinois.

Made greeting cards for all occasions, as well as Christmas.

Helped some friends what special projects that I can't tell about just yet.  I have already been working on projects for the first three hops coming up in 2014.

I am going to learn how to put these pictures in a proper collage. There are so many things to learn still.  One thing I need to do is stay FOCUSED!

I still have all those kits to show you that I did get finished by the end of the year. I think they may be a dozen small projects done. I need to take photo's.
We have had snow falling for the last couple of days. It has been that nice powdery snow. The road need to cleaner. A bunch of us did not go to sewing today, because of the weather.
It has been fun sewing at home today. Everything I need was at my fingertips.

I hope everyone has a fun, happy and productive 2014, and if you are like me, stay focused.  Happy sewing.  Mary

Wow. Everything was gorgeous! I was especially impressed by the quilt that spent the last five years in pieces in a box; those are really hard to finish. Someday I hope to be as productive as you are... someday! Keep up the awesome work.

Take care,
Susan in Texas
