Klosjes quilt is done and a blimp

Finally finished hand sewing this quilt together.  There are 452 blocks that are 3 inches square.

The back is pieced, and I have the bat. It is already to be quilted.  This was started in 2010.

The other evening after dinner, we were just going to take a drive and I spied the blimp.  Naturally you have to check it out.

We got the chance to be under it.  Still do not know why it is in town.  Usually they only come  when there is a special ball game, or golf tournament. It was fun running around the country road to get close enough to take a couple of pictures.

I have been sewing up a storm all weekend.  The binding is one and sewn for my Easy Street. That is one big quilt!  Pictures to come.  Made a couple of mug rugs, and busy working on Christmas projects for the HO HO HO blog hop coming up the end of July.

Need to take a couple of pictures, tomorrow.
Have a great week.

This is a beautiful, bright, colorful quilt. It's hard to imagine how long it must have taken to sew those 3" blocks together!

Lovely quilt! When I think about all of the hand sewing, I don't think it took that long. Must be really satisfying to see this beautiful top finished!

Your klosjes quilt is awesome! How big is it? Those blocks looks really small to me. This is a major accomplishment!

Happy stitching,
