Green County, Wisconsin

Charlie has been helping guard my projects!

We decided to take a drive up to Green County, Wisconsin to see a few barn quilts and enjoy a day in the country. We did see few horses.  Love to see the new babies of the Spring.

Some barns and houses are not in the best of shape!

There was a small quilt show going on at one of the barns and I got to meet  The Brodhead Dairy Queen.

It was so nice to see a few quilts.  The day had started out rainy, so they to put the quilts in a barn.

Beautiful Dresden Plate, variation.

It was one of those days that started out with rain, and ended up with blue  skies.  We actually saw at least 45  barn quilts.  We had a delicious lunch in Monroe, and visited 4 different cheese shops.  It was so nice to get away for the day.
Have a great week.

What a lovely day! I'm in love with Charlie, too. I'd love to spend a day or two around there myself, and I want to see that tree made from wheels. beautiful!

What a wonderful place for a drive Mary - I love doing drives like that where you kind of go here and there but my husband is the type who likes a goal. Straight there and straight back for him. :( Next time I want to go with you! blessings, marlene

It looked like you had a sort of wet day too but what wonderful scenery! Barn quilts, farm art pieces, actual quilts and how can you possibly go wrong with CHEESE! I swear I would rarely get any dairy in if not for cheese and yogurt.

Hope you have a wonderful day!
