Before and after

We set out early for our trip to Florida.  Ron set up our route and set the
timing of it all.  He likes to have a destimation and know where he will stay
each night.  Our first night was going to be in Paducah, Ky.  You can't
stop there with out checking in with Hancock's, the fabric place.
I had a list of things to look for. This was for Kathy.
Metropolis, where Superman is from. This time it was a fly by.
It is an interesting pladce to visit.  The whole town is set up around him.
I had to pick up a few Flamingo prints.  One can never have too many.
On the Ohio River.  The tug boats were moving right along.
You never know what weather you will encounter on the way south.
At home it was clear and free of snow.  Georgia had had snow.
At our chocolate stop, thr trees had started to bloom.

Tennessee the mountains were warming up so water falls
began to show.

Amazing to see them. They just spring up anywhere.
They you could see daffodils.
The morning we left from George and Lyn's we got to see snowmen.
The kids in the neighborhood had had a lot of fun in the snow.

On our way back through Paducah we stopped by the river again.
What a surprise.  It was flooded!
Street lamps should not be underwater!

Stairs to a walkway down by the river.

In all the years I have gone through Paducah I have never seen it this high.

What a sad situation.
You just never know where you will see and advertisement
for a quilt shop.
Thee are some beautiful farms and barns along the way.

So sad to see this.  A truck load of chickens.
Better view of the water tank. My hero!
Crossing the river to Illinois.

The last couple hundred miles to home.
It was a good trip,  Who knew it was going to be almost the last trip I
will be taking for a long time.  Times will change soon.  I will be home for a few days
then going to Ankney, Iowa with Kathy.
