Half Moon Cay

M S Nieuw Amsterdam, We were tendered in to the island.   Half Moon Cay was our first stop. Today we  got to relax and have lunch on the island.  The colors of the sea are amazing.

Walking along the edge of the water was so nice.  I did find a couple of shells  while walking in the water.

I was good and wore my hat.  That sun can give you quite the burn. It was a great day of  sun and blue skies.

Ron stayed on the island  for this picture and then returned  to the ship!   He likes the ride back and forth.

Here are some of the challenge blocks that were made for this trip, "Having a Shellie  Good  Time."

The creativity was great!

I think about half of the quilters made blocks.

There were no classes on our first day. Tuesday is a  full day at sea, and classes all day.  I've met more of the quilters at the beach today.  Seems I had a bit of an accident. You know how it is when you are walking along in the sand and not looking at your feet and don't see the hole you just walked into. The sand was soft as I met it face first.  Several of the quilters saw me on the ground and came to help.  I did sprain my ankle.  Off came the shoes, and into the water I went.  I figured walking in the water would  help, which it did.  For the first time Ron could walk faster them me!
Have a great day.

This looks like a perfect combination: sun and sewing. I only have the sewing here. Skies are grey and sun nowhere to be found....Have fun!!
