Sunday of the Retreat

Look at this tumbler quilt Cathy is making. It is a 1 1/4 inch template from Ardco.  This is only a portion of the quilt.  She is still piecing rows.

Sandy got all the blocks for her string quilt made. Now she is sewing them together.

Here is what I got done.  3 Halloween pillowcases, 1 mug rug, 1 Lil Twister pumpkin, a bowls wall hanging, a sewing machine mat, and a Happy Halloween table mat.

The big thing was making this Halloween table runner.  I think I just may use it as a wall hanging.  I have never worked with a preprinted panel before.  I really had a lot of fun making it.

Another view of the lake from the retreat center.

Previous beach walkers placed smaller stones on the big rocks.

Here was a cute bird house.

All I can say is, it was a great weekend.  Everyone had to be on the road by 1:00.  I made a couple of stops on the way back home.  When I got home, I had to do laundry, replace done kits with more UFO's and repack so that Monday morning we could be on the road to travel to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to sew and spend time with our friend Pat.  Actually, we are going to meet her and several other quilters at Primitive Gatherings, in Menasha.  Pat and Nancy with travel with us up to Garden, Michigan.  Looking forward to more great sewing and visiting time.

Have another great week.

Mary
