Projects and our last stop Victoria, BC

Our last stop is Victoria, British Columbia.

One more quilt shop to tempt our purses.
As if this is the last chance to ever purchase fabric!

Our bus drive gave us a fabulous tour around Victoria.
I cannot remember the name of this hill top where we stopped to look over the city.
Those are ships in the far background.  Ours is on the far right hand side.

Mt. Baker in Washington.
It is considered a live volcano, but has not erupted in a very long time.
Pat is in the middle with her dragonflies.Raw edge applique, with using angelina for the wings.

Cindy Walters showing her miniature quilts that she has painted.

Pat in the middle did hers with wool applique.

Pat with her attic windows creation.

Pat's progress.

Stevii taught a spiderweb class.

My progress on the spiderweb block.
We had to bring a gallon ziplock bag with strings.
I chose to do mine with selvages.

My progress on crazy quilting with fancy stitches, and embellishments.

We also got to play with the Janome sewing machines that were provided for us to work on..
We were each given fabric and batting to make this cute purse using the many decorative stitches on the machine.

You sure had a fun variety of sewing projects, Mary. I love your comment about acting as though it was the last time you could ever buy fabric! Did you people ever sleep on this trip? It sounds as though you were busy all the time.
