Another day in Alaska

One of the days we "cruised" the Inside Passage.
Yes, we did see a bear.  There was another bear, I was told, but by the time I was able to take pictures, only one remained

This is the Margerie Glacier.
Impressive!
No ice calved while we were there, but you could hear it crackling.

We did get fairly close to it.  The ice is blue and beautiful.
It was a rather gray day while we were in the passage,

Had to take a breather from all the beauty that was around us.
Had a couple of "Chocolate" drink creations.
Everyone needs Chocolate now and then!

We could not get over the beauty all around us.

Waterfalls just about everywhere you looked.

Pat was working on the project from one of her classes.

Amy, from Quilt Seminars at Sea had sent everyone a piece of the "fish" fabric.
We could make a block using the fabric.  At the end of the cruise one of the quilters would win the blocks.
It wasn't until I got home, I realized I never took a picture with all the blocks.\This the block that Pat made.

One of the days we all went High Tea.  The celebration was for Canada Day.
There is not a spread like this every day, but there is High Tea most days.
All the pastries that I tried were delicious.
You realize, all of  these are made on the ship by the wonderful chef's on board.

One evening we got to celebrate Pat's birthday.
Check out this cake our servers brought Pat.
We all got the share in it.

Here is Pat, myself, and Sandy just before we were going on an excursion.

This is my project. I had several classes from Stevii Graves.
She showed up a different technique for applique.
Then on another day, we worked on embroidery stitches to enhance our applique, So I stated right in on the piece I was already working one. /The applique is Forget-Me-Not, which is the state flower of Alaska.

Still more to come.
Enjoy.
Mary
