Another day at the Arboretum

It was a gorgeous day.  We decided we would go back to the Arboretum.
Time to see what else new has started to bloom.
Red buds are in bloom.

This Blue Jay was sweet to pose for us.

Trillium

Flowering Quince.
Don't you love that coral color.

This is a yellow magnolia, Elizabeth.  For some reason I am in love with them.
The shade of yellow is like butter.

The Crab apples are coming into bloom.

Jack-in-the-Pulpit

This is what Ron does while I am wandering around.
We picked up Jersey Mike subs for a picnic lunch.
We found a place to have our lunch, what a beautiful day to be out.
When we were at the Arboretum a couple of weeks ago, I splurged and purchased a membership. I am so glad we did. This is a great place to go birding.
While we were there a group arrived for a wedding in one of the gardens.
It is prom weekend for some of the school. It was lovely to see some of the pretty gowns and tuxedos. It makes you think of days gone by.  Some things don't change.  That is nice.

The Robins on our porch have hatched.  Mom Robin is feeding her babies well.
I was on a quilt retreat last week, so will have pictures to show in the next day or so.
What a great time we had.

Have a lovely weekend.
Mary

Such beautiful pictures Mary - I love seeing the flowers of spring. My daughter told me we have sparrows hatched in the carport at home. They come back there every year and every year Jerry tries to watch so he can "discourage" them from building in that spot but he never manages to keep them away. Where the nest makes for a very messy car. :) blessings, marlene

Great pictures! I don't think I've ever seen a yellow magnolia. Enjoy watching the baby robins. They don't stick around for very long.
