Little Houses

Here they are, my houses from scraps. I worked on these this past week. I think all is catching up with me. I had let so many things go, (like house cleaning) the past few months, that it is time to try to get back into the swing of things. Dad's apartment has been cleaned out, and a lot of it is sitting in our garage.  Now to sort through it.  I will make up a box for each of the 4 grandson's, and my sister of things that should be sent to them. There is a lot of paperwork to be taken care of.

Thank you to all who sent such kind words and prayers. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it.  It so nice to know of the caring among quilters and friends. Sewing is what has helped these past few months. Thank you.

Have a great week. Stay cool or warm, and Sew On!

Mary - Your little houses are darling and they remind me of the little houses I need to finish for a Schnibbles quilt. I am still moving slow as a snail these days, even though it has been 3 months since my Dad left!! Can't wait to see the finished quilt!!!

Sweet little house's. I do not envy you the job you still have a head of you...it has to be hard to tackle it....I wish you the best.

Tried to leave a comment earlier, but it wouldn't let me. Ugh! Love your little houses. So cute and what a great way to use those scraps.

I love house quilts, and yours are adorable!

I'm glad you're finding sewing / quilting therapeutic. I always do, too, and am glad I have been able to get buried in quilting sometimes. Sounds like you've been really hard at work, too, so the quilting has probably been relaxing as well. Take care of yourself!

Oh Mary, what sweet little houses! So cute!

Sewing is my therapy too. I know it has helped me through alot of hard times in my life. I don't feel complete without sewing. I go to my sewing room and just focus on what's in there and I can put the everyday things away for awhile. Time is a healer too. You are in my prayers. Take care.

These are too CUTE. I haven't had a chance to work on mine lately. Maybe it will be a multi-year project for me.

Maybe when I'm not staring at bowls all day I'd love to try my hand at houses. :O)
