Now these are oldies but goodies! Would you believe these have been sitting around, basted, but not quilted, probably from the 1990's. I decided I would again practice machine quilting them. The one on left is 11 1/2 x 13 1/2. The one on right 11 1/2 square.
I am learning a lesson, it is a good idea to put binding with an unfinished quilt top, no matter what size. I had no trouble finding the binding for the one on the left. The one on the right, no way could I find fabric. I did find 2 small strips, and I mean small, that I could sew together to create the mini binding. It is the same pink in the quilt. |

As usual it´s so nice to visit your blog and finding all these nice works of yours. I especially love the hexagon tool box.

You are really productive. I can't get over how much you get done. Loved seeing all your accomplishments. Especially loved the Lil Twister pumpkin. So cute!
All I can say is WOW WOW WOW.....lots of fun things...
Oh Mary! those pin cushions (or should that be pin pillows!!) are gorgeous!! Love everything, especially the shamrock twister.
I saw Lori's wash bags too.... great idea! They are on my "to do" list.
I'm thinking that you must have more hours in your day than I have:-) you seem to achieve so much! and all done so beautifully too.
Cheers from Helen
What a great variety of projects. You will be a FMQ specialist before you know it. Lovely work as always.
hi mary....thank you for looking me up again ...i lost a lot by leaving abruptly but i saw no other way....
on the subject of your pincushions...haha if you filled them good you could use them for hockey pucks being they are huge lol...just kidding...but i love them and might try making one smaller of course
The pinwheel pumpkin is delightful. Very different and oh so fall looking.
So many projects you worked on in July. And each one is so special. Love the twister pumpkin!
I am so sorry to hear about you Dad.
My Dad has been gone for 11 years and I still miss him.
Well, you got me beat for a project that sits with no binding. I think I got everything bound from the 90's.
After that, things may have started to fall apart.
Wow, I guess I missed this post. I was looking over your blog today and saw it. Lots of good stuff here! I'm impressed!
I made the pincushions last year and I did put walnut shells in them and yes, they could definitely be a weapon. I love it but don't use it as a pincushion. I have it on the floor as a doorstop!
I love your Twisters too. My favorite is the pumpkin, so cute. I want to make that and a heart twister. I think I saw that on your blog back in February but it is on my list. Great projects, all of them!
Love those pin cushions, where did you get the pattern?
