Neil Diamond

Okay, so I did have a little camera that I was able to use to get a couple of pictures.
You should have seen all the phones lit up.
We spent two hours getting into the United Center.  The highway was crowded. By the time you got to the exit the wait was even longer.  It is worth it. There was only one show this time.
The front of the United Center.

My son Andrew surprised me with the tickets.  He is just as much of a fan as I am.  He has longer arms then I did, so he took the selfie..  The tickets were for seats up the the "nose bleed" section.  I don't care. I just love to hear his music.
At 74 Neil is doing good.

There were two big screens so you could get good looks at Neil.

This kind of gives you the perspective of how far away we were.
It is good to see that Neil still has it.  He performed to a packed arena.
I have been going to his concerts forever. While sitting there, I was thinking about all the tee shirts, the books from the shows, the 33 1/3 albums, 8 track tapes, cassettes, and now cd's I have purchased through the years.  WOW!  If he was in our area, I was at the concert.  The only time I did not go, was when I was 7 months pregnant with Andrew, and the concert was outside. Ron, my husband was afraid I would go into labor.  I knew I wouldn't, I mean I sure would not have wanted to miss it, but at the time it seemed like a good idea.

It's pretty amazing that a man who hasn't had a hit in years can still bring such energy to the world of music. That says how much he is loved. I say, go Neil. I've been to one of his concerts and they are simply amazing. Had a great time, and I'm still a Neil Diamond fan... So glad you got to experience a great concert.

How cool! Neil is such a great singer and entertainer. I've only seen concerts on TV, but, they were always wonderful.
