Tammy 4 All Season, coming to you from Kihei, Maui

When I first started seeing the wonderful cross stitch patterns that Madamn Samm, of SewWeQuilt, was working on and showing on her site, I knew I wanted to do one.  The summer pattern created by Brooke Nolan was just my style.
I had this collection of fabric just begging to be used with Brooke's Vintage Summer.

I am sure a few of you remember this style of swim suit, and how about the swim caps we had to wear.
I originally took pictures while home in Illinois.  Somehow snow just did not seem to be the perfect way to show off my creations.  Instead, I waited until I arrived on Maui.
Some of you know I love to travel, so I had to make my own personal traveling bag, along with my Tammy Bag.

I can sit on our lani and stitch away.  Of course when I travel I always take along handwork.  This is the perfect type.  I learned to cross stitch when I was a young girl, but have not done a lot of it in a long while.  My style are small projects that I can see results quickly.

I made my Tammy Bag to hold my scissors, threads, needles, and of course my Readers.
Since my cataract surgery I need to wear readers for all close work and reading.
As you can see in the picture above, I got sunglasses.  They have clear glass in the top, and a reader prescription in the bottom, just perfect for stitching while I am enjoying the sun.
The second, larger drawstring, bag is to hold, my actual project.  In this case I am working on the Vintage Winter design.  I can break down my Snap Frame for easy carry.  It comes together and breaks apart with ease.  I can keep my project safe and at easy reach when I am ready to stitch.
I can carry other small projects, ready and waiting to be worked on.
You know how we all seem to have several things going at once,
I don't work quite as fast as Madame Samm, but like to have a spare, just in case.
I can see more Tammy Bags in my future.
After all, they are great gifts, for those special friends.

Cori Blunt designed this adorable pinny.  You can attach it to your Tammy Bag. In my case it goes on the back

When you turn the Pinny over, it has been designed to hold spare needles, and has the cutest little pocket to hold you waste threads.
As you can see I have been working on my Vintage Winter design.
I love using DMC threads. I swear I have almost every color they have ever put out.
I love using their Aida cloth as well.  I recently picked up one called Parakeet, which is a bright green.  Can't wait to play with it. This one is a soft green that I had in my Aida stash that I thought would work well with this pattern.
Madame Samm had these cute furry Stick With Me needle holders that I just had to have one.  The Stick With Me needle holder on the pattern is far more practical.  Charlie, our one kitty, love to check out my furry one.  It is soft like him.

Thank you to Madame Samm, Brooke Nolan, and Cori Blunt, for taking the time to create all these wonderful patterns.  It is so nice to be back to cross stitching.  It is a wonderful and relaxing way to spend a bit of down time.

I can't wait to see what everyone has done with their patterns for "Tammy 4 All Seasons."  We are off to a great start.  Please visit our other talented ladies today.  Remember, we all love to have you visit our blogs, and read your comments.  Your comments are what keep us joining these fabulous hops and continue creating and stretching our creativity.

Your summer Tammy bag is perfect. And your setting for the pictures has all of us who are freezing our backsides off happy for you. I also love Aida. I started the Summer on 24 count and make a mistake and it's unfinished and will have to have part of it unsewn. I had surgery on both my eyes a little over a year ago and have prisms in glasses now and still have to move my head to get focus at time. I had to get a magnifier to be able to see the Aida cloth. Thank you for participating and being a great inspiration.

That is a complete set! How fun! I don't like DMC-thread (it seems to form knots when I just look at it). But then again, I don't do cross-stitching (childhood drama). I love to stitch all other things. Just not cross-stitch. Seems a shame now...with all these gorgeous bags....Enjoy the sun!

(((Mary)))! OK...My heart just exploded...from the perfectness. I can not tell you how much I LOVE everything you've done here. The colors, the bathing beauty mamas fabric, your travel bag with pocket, the pinny is precious. Sitting here in drizzly, freezing Tennessee today and seeing you sitting on the lanai surrounded by your stitching made me smile. Big THANK YOU for running this blog hop with Mdm. Samm. I appreciate that so much. Thank you also for making my designs come alive. (Love seeing the progress on your Winter too. The furry Stick With Me needle keeper looks like it could be the stole.) Looking forward to more stitching and sewing with you in 2015. Love, Brooke ; )
