Spring must be coming

Checked out one of my favorite places to bird today.
The weatherman is saying it will be getting even colder as the week goes one.
Thought today was a good one to get out.

I saw a flock of robins. I am afraid it will be pretty cold for them.

There were a lot of male cardinals.

Madame Samm had some pictures with a red umbrella. She posed a challenge to put an umbrella in a picture.   I don't have a red one, but thought maybe this one would do.

It is still very snowy around here .The sun was out for a while. I think it adds a bit of color.

I was out for a couple of hours. It felt good just being out of the house.
I sat a lot this weekend working on my Birds quilt for the upcoming hop.
Hope every one is ready for a good week.
Sewing is in my future.

Brrr! It looks cold. It's been in the 30s here in Fort Worth, which is plenty cold enough for me. Isn't it strange that the robins only ever form large flocks in the cold weather? I've never seen a flock of robins when it is warm outside. If I tried to put down an umbrella for a picture today it would be in the next county in five minutes; the wind is really blowing.

Stay warm,

Beautiful shots! I always love how the cardinals stand out against the snow. Stay snug!

Those poor little birds look so cold. Love the umbrella in the snow.

What a gorgeous bird! I have no snow, but all these beautiful umbrellas in pictures makes me want to go stick one in a cactus or something. :O)
