After the reunion in Victor, New York, we traveled down to the Buffalo area for a couple of days.
We stayed at a fun bed and breakfast, called Pipe Creek Farm, in West Falls.
As soon as we arrived, I saw she had a lot of bird feeders in her back yard.
| I was in bird heaven! |
| Little surprised to see this young fox show up. The birds flew, while he stayed around for a little while. |
| Lots of birds. I think I can add a couple to my e-bird count. |
| She had this beautiful kitty, along with two others, and 3 dogs. They all came to check us out, but were not a bother at all. |
| Had to check out the beautiful flowers she had as well. |
Of course there was my favorite, zinnia's. Why is it I can't seem to grow them, when everyone else can?? |
| This squirrel was enjoying his apple. |
Here is a female, ruby-throated hummingbird. She was loving the trumpet vine. |
On our way to the bed and breakfast we saw a small butterfly garden. No butterflies though. |
In the part of New York we visited there are a lot of cobblestone houses. When you are in the east, there are all type of houses. I found these so interesting. |
| No barn quilts, but we did find a smiley face on the side of this house. |
I found this house so different. A mix of the cobblestone, and what appears like tongue and grove with brick. So pretty and well kept. We love traveling the countryside in upstate New York. There are rolling hills, and wonderful roads. You never know what you will see around the next turn.
