Quilts and Daffodils

Time to show this finished quilt.  Actually it was finished during the winter, but really felt that photographing it in snow, just would not do it justice.  Spring and daffodils would be a better photo shoot.
Last weekend I went to Morton Arboretum again. I had been there the previous Sunday.  What a difference a week makes.  The daffodil glade was in full bloom.

This is such a beautiful place. So many varieties have been naturalized everywhere.

This pair of bluebirds was nice enough to pose for me.

Just had to try a "selfie" among the daffodils.

This one is just finished and now has been received.  My nephew Matt's wife Lisa had contacted me just before Christmas to ask if I was interested in making a "Michigan" quilt for him.  Too close to Christmas, but we did agree that his birthday in May would be a better time.
What do you think?  It just so happens my son is a Michigan fan as well, so I made a second one.  Again, if one is good, two or more is better! The back has U of M fabric as well.
I received word yesterday that Matt has the quilt (early) and loves it.

Leaving you today with this picture of daffodils!
Have a great week..
I know I am.
Mary

Love the daffodils! Your Michigan quilt turned out great. Using all the different shades of blue and gold add a lot of interest.
