Projects readied

Going on a road trip soon and it is time to get handwork ready to take along.
When we have a long expressway trip, I like to have things to work on.  It is a good time to get bindings sewn down.  I have a lap size quilt to work on, too.

These half square triangles need handles for baskets appliqued down.  I found I have about 20 more that need handles, then I can work on another little quilt top.

There are always hexagons.  I work on 1/2 and 3/4 inch sizes.  You just never know what they may become.  After all there is a hexie hop coming up.

Happy Sewing
Mary

PS  Don't forget the HO HO HO blog hop is going on.  Carol, at Just let me Quilt is our wonderful cheerleader.  My day is August 8.

Love the baskets and hexagons but wonder how you work on such small pieces. I admire that. Wish I could do it.

I love the little baskets...so cute. I keep thinking about working on a hexagon project....they seem to be getting popular again. I see them a lot in the magazines and shows.
