Spring has Sprung

Yesterday, my husband Ron, Dad and I went for a drive through Morton Arboretum to take in some of the spring time goodness.  It is an amazing year for the redbuds.  I have never seen so many beautiful trees.

There were fields of bluebells.

So may violets.
And of course, my personal favorites, daffodils.
When we arrived it was a bit dreary. As we drove around the sun came out.  It was beautiful.

Happy Day, Happy Quilting

Beautiful pics! I have NEVER seen Bluebells - they are just so pretty!

I love daffodils too! when I was very little my Dad made a little garden bed for me and planted the bulbs. I think we both were amazed when they actually popped up! Our next venture was Sweet Peas ... you don't see them so much in local garden beds anymore. Australians have gone crazy for natives, you rarely see an old fashioned flower garden anymore.
