Laura Wasilowski was going to teach us about free form embroidery. We were going to work on small landscapes.
I just had to see what she was doing.
Everything is so vibrant and colorful. Again this would be out of my comfort zone.
She comes up with some fun ideas.
I hope I can do as well.
Joan Shay was another teacher. This was her 3-D Forget me Not bouquet.
More of Laura's work.
More of Laura's gorgeous work
On our way into Glacier Bay I thought I saw something walking along beside the ship. A brown bear.
It wasn't just any ordinary brown bear, it was a female and this years cub. She was teaching it how to hunt for salmon.
We had a park ranger on our ship, that was telling us what was going on. It was so interesting watching her teach.
The captain of our ship slowed us down to almost a crawl so we could watch and be able to get our best shots. It was amazing. You just don't get to see things like this at home. I was in awe.
We arrived at the Margerie Glacier. Again, not the greatest of weather. This time we had misty rain.
The captain allows the passengers to come forward and watch all of this from the bow. There were servers outside with hot chocolate to help keep us warm.
Any chance I can get to see nature up close and personal, I am there. Weather, what is weather! So many people were saying we actually had perfect weather for seeing all that was around us.
Here is a piece that fell off one end of the glacier. Impressive
Birds were everywhere. Did see a bald eagle flying around too.
Up close and personal to the glacier. It was so nice having a ranger telling us what we were seeing, why it happens.

Here I am! Sure was not going to let a bit of rain stop me. I was a tad damp, when I finally when inside. I am so glad I did not miss a thing. Mary
