Saturday fun

There was a Saturday Sew with the guild in Plainfield.  One of the ladies brought in this great quilt that she is piecing.  She wanted some advice on what to do with borders.  It is such a pretty quilt.
Here is my progress on Easy Street, Bonnie Hunter's latest mystery quilt.  I decided to go along with her color scheme.  They are colors my husband loves.  One block, 4 corners, and 12 setting triangles are done!  It is a good start.

As you can see I did get these photos on my blog.  I had to do it by way of a Picasa Album.  These are definately things I do not understand. I have always, in the past, uploaded them directly from my computer. (grumble, grumble)
I hope things will go back to the way they were.

Have a great quilting day.

Mary

Oh, that hexagon quilt is lovely...

Your Easy Street is looking good. Yes, I like these colors too.

I'm having to upload my pics through Picasa too. I don't like it either and I hope it gets back to normal. I know we are not alone.

I'm keeping all of the Easy Street instructions in the hope I might get around to it later in the year. Your fabrics look great!

I did a test just now and had no trouble uploading photos from my computer to a blog post. Are you getting a message or is it just that the photo doesn't work?

Have a great day,
Helen

Apparently it's to do with Internet Explorer (I use Safari)- you could try and switch to Google Chrome or similar if you are using Explorer. Hope this helps!

Glad to see some pictures again!! It has to do with picasa, but it seems they have recently increased the storage space, so we are good for a couple of months again......That is what i learned from a friend.

Wow, I can't imagine all that work on that Grandmother's flower quilt. It is fantastic. I like what your are doing with Easy Street. Great job.

Your Easy Street is looking beautiful Mary! It sounds like the problem with the photos is Internet Explorer. I have used Firefox for a long time and haven't had this problem. I also use Chrome, both are faster than IE. Good luck.

What an awesome hexie quilt. I am not sure what is the best way to border. But, I've seen them with half-hexies all around the sides and a traditional straight border added to that.

The Easy Street block is really pretty. I really like the colors!

About the picture upload, I did a small post a couple of days ago...
